Edward Facundus, M.D., F.A.C.S., is an experienced bariatric surgeon specializing in the Roux-en-Y procedure. Dr. Facundus has more than 17 years of experience in laparoscopic surgery, and has performed more than 1700 Roux-en-Y procedures.
Dr. Facundus earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He then completed his residency at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital Clininc in New Orleans. Dr. Facundus is an active member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also certified by the American Board of Surgery.
