Lee Schmitt, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a board certified bariatric surgeon with over 11 years of experience. Dr. Schmitt performs both Roux-en-Y and Lap-Band procedures at the Alabama Weight Loss Surgery institute in Birmingham, Ala.
Dr. Schmitt earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He later completed an internship and residency at UAB. Dr. Schmitt is an active member of local and national surgical organizations.
